Matrix Organisational Structures
The matrix structure is normally a temporary
structure, put together to tackle problems. Once Secretary of State Secretary of State
the problem is solved, then the project team is for Health and for Education
disbanded and individuals return or are assigned Social Care
to a new project.
Prime
The matrix structure is organised by technical Minister
expertise rather than managerial rank. Project
teams are most effective when objectives or tasks
are clearly defined.
Met Commissioner Chief Medical
Staff are also still part of their own functional Police Officer Officer
departments which could cause conflicts.
Would the NHS be part of the Cobra meetings
with the Prime Minister?
